--- Quote from: DynamiteKid on 08 Nov 2007, 12:32 ---Alanus Morrissette is some bullshit earth mother who did some good songs in the mid nineties and since then has apparently made so much of an effort to not sell records that...well, she sucks. And I don't think she sells many records these days either.

Er... are you confusing her with Ani Difranco a bit? And Ani sells a lot of records.

Alanis Morrissette has released about four albums since what...1995? And her second one was called 'Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie,' or some other deliberately incomprehensible bullshit.

Ani DiFranco is that bisexual one who's released about 18 albums in the last week, isn't she?

NothingIncorporated:
I'm just lashing out.. I guess, I went to school with a guy who never shut up about Tori Amos, which probably sparked my dislike towards her.. but then again, I think it's Alanis Morrisseettt I really can't stand.. that song 'Ironic' ewwww.. and 'you oughta know'' good if it's the Richard Cheese cover but not her....

"It's like trying to find a knife and all you have is spoons"  (not quoted lyrics. but it's something like that) ... thats not ironic, that's fucking stupid.

I mean.. what does she want the knife for? To kill the fucker who keeps leaving spoons everywhere?

Really - No thought into that song at all.

Thrillho:
Of course the argument there is that the real irony in the song is that nothing in the song is ironic. But I honestly don't think she's smart enough to write that kind of shit. Even so, I can get through life without lashing out at her.

SeanBateman:
I could potentially like Ani Defranco, but god do I hate her fans.
