Got to the Les Savy Fav show to find that it was sold out, and I was the only one in the group who had bought tickets online, because I knew the show would sell out, because DC is full of teenage scenesters with too much money.  So I scalped the ticket to one of the scenesters (made $1.30 WOO) and we went and saw Enon, and they fucking ROCKED.

They played mostly songs from the new album with the long name and High Society, pretty much all their seriously rockin' stuff.  Peace of Mind was mind-blowing.

--- Quote from: yipinglim on 04 Apr 2008, 07:28 ---Caught Mono a while back, and hands down, best band I've seen live. Was in a small venue, at this place called Underworld. I woke up the next morning with my ears ringing. Here's a picture from that gig.

Mono is amazing.  I couldn't enjoy any show I saw for months after I saw Mono.

a pack of wolves:
Last night was War All The Time, Mob Rules, The Uprights and Total Dismay. Total Dismay had a good 80s hardcore vibe going on, more concerned with kicking out the jams than technical skill. Solid. The Uprights are a three piece dealing in some noisy indie rock, the kind of stuff that could have been made any time since the 80s and still sounds as good now as it ever did. Mob Rules were as great yet again, heavy and punishing, guitar stabs and grinding rhythms while the singer contorts and barks. I can't remember the last new hardcore band that sounded this good. War All The Time were playing their first gig after an Asian tour (lucky bastards) and they were easily the best I'd ever seen them. "Alright, this one's for all the squatters. And those on the dole, and on housing benefit." That quote and their name rather sums up their approach. Possibly the best d-beat band in the world right now, the crowd kicked off and the night finished in style.

I am so sorry for myself that War All (of) The Time still reminds me of Thursday.

That was the one Thursday album I liked.

Silverchair May 2003,I was super sick at this show. I went anyway, they were amazing live. If you ever get a chance to see them, go see them!

Muse(part of the Curiosa Festival): I agree with what everyone else has said about them. Awesome band,Awesome show!
The Cure: Saw them as part as the Curiosa festival at molson amphitheater, friggen amazing and the view from where I was standing was amazing!

Rheostatics at Massey Hall: This was their last concert and it was spectacular. For their encore they went out to the crown and played anacoustic set.

Final Fantasy: He played a small show in Toronto and I was extremely close to the stage...he was great!

I've also seen Sigur Ros,Sonic Youth,Silverchair(two other times),Rheostatics numberous times and I'm seeing D.O.A in May.
