Deerhoof! They are really entertaining live. The crowd was kinda horrible, though.

There was a moshpit full of people who didn't really seem familiar with the practice. Au and Experimental Dental School opened, and they were good as well. Oh, also drunk people wouldn't shut the fuck up while Greg Saunier was stammering and trying to say stuff to the audience. Assholes.

Are they much more energetic live than on record? I never got into The Warning, I found it not particularly dancey and quite calm.

Man Deerhoof was so entertaining. The insanity of Saunier. The quirky interplay between Ed and Satomi. Saunier stammering like an idiot.
And I was in a different venue (a theater), so I didn't have that whole fake mosh pit thing. It was a little impersonal except for the people in the first row, though.

I wanted to hurt them all. It was so annoying.
