I saw Muse a while back at Bamboozle. It was pretty good... I like Muse a lot, but the highlight was that it was my first (and only) time crowd surfing.

More recently, I drove six hours through a snow storm over to Binghamton so I could see the Foo Fighters, Serj Tankien, and Against Me! I don't really like the Foo Fighters much anymore, but at the time I thought that it was fucking sick. Regardless of whether they play good music or not, Dave Grohl obviously puts a lot of energy into his performance. The other two weren't bad either.

Captfamous:
Went to Braholween IV in Brooklyn. First three bands were ok (at best), but Awesome Color and Oneida were sick. People should look to check them out, they've opened for Dinosaur Jr. and Mission of Burma in the past, respectively.

Beastmouth:
Yeah, Awesome Color are great.  I got their album at the Dino show a year ago but I still haven't plugged in my turntables since I got back in the country.  I guess what I'm saying is I suck.  :p

Finally caught the Broomstars last night, they were great.  Of course, half the band has worked or still works at Moog Music, so why not?

Jettison Never from Chattanooga opened for them, and they really put the power in power trio.  I walked in to buy me and my girl's ticket and heard like six bars from them.  I was so worried because I had to go and pick up a friend who I knew would enjoy Broomstars and I thought I was gonna miss their set, but we got back halfway into their pre-penultimate jam.  It was a hell of a show for all of twenty people to show up.

I don't know about that specific show, But I have to say that Battles is one of the better shows I have been to. I saw them in a small club though and was standing maybe 15 people back from the stage.

But that show was just an absolute mindfuck for me.

(I still can't believe that I haven't seen the Arcade Fire yet)

Maybe they weren't playing that well in my city, my friend went to the sideshow and was a bit disappointed by them as well, and he's really into them.

KickThatBathProf:
Guys, I just got back from Girl Talk.  OH MAN OH MAN WAS IT COOL.

I was on stage. One row from the front. About 3 feet away from Greg Gillis.

Also, there was a big screen behind the crowd showing election coverage and everyone just started fucking screaming when Obama was announced the winner
