Can anyone recommend any good australian music that I might like?

I don't listen to many Australian bands, but one of my favorites is The Morning After Girls, kinda shoegaze/droney, so maybe not quite the Aussie pop you are looking for.

If not INXS or AC/DC, then maybe Cat Empire? :) There's something in their stuff for almost everyone, I think.

Colin Hay's solo work is pretty sweet, too. I think I prefer his acoustic versions to the originals from his days with Men at Work.

Quite a few of us are from Australia, hence us frequently saying in this thread: "a local band I saw last night". I'm from Melbourne myself, and don't know nearly as much about the local scene as I should.
