space rock needs no lyrics
so you can't classify a band as space-rock just because of their lyrics
THE OZRICS HAVE NO LYRICS
and they're the spaciest space-rock band ever
space is not supposed to have lyrics, it should be a druggy weird bubbly ether-ish weedy bunch of spacey tunes, with lots of colours
and this is in fact the definiton of space-rock
Starless:
Yawning Man, Nebula, and Hawkwind are the only space rock bands I know off the top of my head.
Jackie Blue:
I'd call Spacemen 3 "drone rock" more than "space rock", but if you like them, you should check out The Telescopes.
