Ska?

tommydski:
Toots & the Maytals.

I think Harry likes Desmond Dekker but I'm not familiar with his work.

Inlander:
Fortunately for you, tommy, some lovely souls have taken a bunch of old Jamaican reggae and ska records, put them on the record player, videoed them going round and round, and put the results on YouTube:

"The Israelites"

"007 (Shanty Town)"

"Sabotage"

"Pickney Girl"

Enjoy!

godinpants:
I think it's time I repost this link from a previous ska thread.

Ska covers of radiohead.

KharBevNor:
Desmond Dekker does make some fine music.

I feel honour bound to point out that, whilst I am in fact defending ska from thoughtless hate, Pretty much all the modern, 3rd wave stuff sucks. I'm not sure I've ever heard a good ska song written past the mid 80's, and some of those bands are utter turd.

a pack of wolves:
I was listening to those songs Inlander posted and I actually really liked '007 (Shanty Town)' and 'Pickney Girl'. I think I like ska now. Shit, I just got my opinion changed by the internet.
