Doc:
Here's a nice way of reviewing the Battles - Atlas song.
http://www.esquire.com/features/esquire-100/battles1007
It's a minute-by-minute breakdown analysis.
McTaggart:
--- Quote from: McTaggart on 08 Dec 2007, 06:36 ---One of my favourite songs from this year is New Buffalo's Cheer Me Up, Thankyou (the video quality is pretty bad, but the sound is the important part) which I think I kept mentioning here probably more than I should have. It's just one of the happiest songs I've heard in a very long time and is one of those that just fills you with hope.
The other in the top two is the track off Urthboy's new album The Signal with Mia Dyson. I'm trying but failing to find a link for this one. The track's called Over Before it Began and it's pretty much just this really sincere and honest story of a night and a girl. If someone can help me out with a link I'd be really grateful.
Other honourable mentions: Ghostface Killah - Nasty Girl (because it's damn catchy, and it has horns), Bloc Party - Flux (because I dunno) and Lupe Fiasco - Superstar (because it's just a great track all round). I can get way into all of these which kinda took me by surprise.
--- End quote ---
Ignore this, I am on crack (and so are all you).
Art Brut - Direct Hit
Can we change the thread title to that?
De_El:
!!! So much. Forgot that came out this year. Also, I agree more and more with All My Friends - LCD Soundsystem, but with the song title comes the curse of remembering Soundgarden lyrics.
