Dyed black hair can really be hit or miss. The roots become apparent pretty fast if you have naturally lighter hair, which can be a good thing because it can mean redying pretty quickly and changing it if you don't like it.

This may be the best physical compliment I have ever gotten, and am seriously considering this proposal despite really needing a haircut.

my natural hair color is actually dark brown! I've been dying it shades of red for years.
Lunchbox:
The problem with going black is it is SO HARD to cover up if you don't like it.
I find black makes me look really pallid and washed out, and also it shows up if I have pimples or reddish blotches.
Try a really really dark brown instead, it adds just a touch of warmth that I find works heaps better.
