Hair Advice!!! (NOW WITH RULESSS)
Nodaisho:
I think that is a perfect post to follow by asking for a rundown on types of hair product. I want to get some new stuff that doesn't have as much of a tendency to make my hair a natural hard hat when I put in more than the tiniest bit. I also don't like how the gel I've got right now makes my hair feel. What else is there, what is it good for?
Melodic:
hair wax > hair gel, every time
Ptommydski:
This year I was recommended this incredible stuff which is a really fine powder, almost like talc. You drop a little bit in your hair and it sets like hair spray or wax but doesn't make your hair look dirty. I doubt I'll ever use anything else ever again, though it's not strong enough for the kind of haircuts where you need industrial adhesive style gel. If you just want a bit of crumple though, it's the best thing.
Metope:
Oh man yeah, since I started using that two years ago I've never even bothered trying out other stuff, it's just so perfect. Whenever I want a little bit more hold I use a small amount of spray over that again, and that's all I'll ever need. Also, if you have fine/thin hair (like me) it makes your hair look a lot thicker, I've never had issues with my hair looking flat and lifeless after I started using that powder.
Gemmwah:
that sounds absolutely genius. whenever i mess my hair up i use fibre putty, because it holds and moulds like wax but doesn't leave your hair feeling greasy, which is a mega plus.
