I would take the short one shorter still.
This second picture does confirm that you look to friendly to be a skinhead.

Yeah, you could go with something that is about 1in long, or something, and it'd still look ok.

If you absolutely have to have the short hair look, keep the beard as thick as it is in the long hair pictures. The thinner beard plus the shorter hair is ehhh.
