Spiking yes, not so much on the blue.

i'm going to have to say no to the blue. no offense but it kind of makes you look like one of the x-men or something.
if you're really intent on adding colour, though, i think you'd have more luck with something in the reddish or maroon league. though maybe not that placement exactly.

The placement was fun with Paint, nothing more.

I do think I want to add some crazy color though, I'm not sure if I really particularly care if it'd make me look good or not, just for something out of the ordinary.

Phil! My advice is: Yes on the spiking, but only do it sort of on the front half. It looks a bit too much spiked all the way back. As a rule I think boys look silly with streaky different colours in their hair (unless they have a mohawk, in which case it is illegal to not have crazy colour), but if you like it then maybe you could rock a darker blue like Squiddy? I can't figure out where it would look best though.
Basically my advice is pretty useless. Sorry.
