Just One More...:
Yeah you got a nice haircut. Short is almost always a good choice.

I am generally a fan of (clean) long hair on guys, but I like the short much more here:)

Elizzybeth:
So, guys, I'm going to get my hair cut and possibly dyed soon.  This is probably the most accurate picture of what my hair does--I can get it smoother with products and straighteners; mousse and scrunch / dry will give me pretty decent curls.  But this is it basically left to its own devices, which I figure is probably better for "will this work?" questions (forgive the ridiculous shades, which were the intended focus of the picture).

I'm thinking I want a shorter cut, with the shortest (outer) layers about at mid-ear level and the longest (inner) layers ending just below my chin.  I'm also considering dyeing it a dark brown.  Something like this, I guess:

Is this a good / bad idea?  Do you guys have better ideas?  I'd generally be up for wild and crazy suggestions, but I'm leaning toward the could-pass-for-a-more-conservative-look side of things, 'cause I'm interviewing at grad schools over the next month.

BrittanyMarie:
I think that cut would work well with your hair's natural texture, but I think it'd look better side-parted slightly with maybe swoopy fringe.

iawtc, middle parts look good on almost no one.  They also make your nose look big when it's a straight middle part.  now zig-zag middle is different.
but I'd say if you do that but part it zig-zag part to the left or right it would give you a lot of texture and it would be fun to make your own. and it would probably compliment your face shape well that way.
