Coincidentally I am growing mine longer, I sort of just push it off to the side, but because I have nice thick hair I can turn it into a fauxhawk of RIDICULOUS quality. I don't really have a camera though and I am pretty boring so there will probably not be pictures of it.

I say yes. I recently acquired a full bang for the first time since the fourth grade, and I've been nothing but happy with it.

Especially with longer hair like yours, though, some tapered bangs can help frame your face without having to chop off all your (beautiful!) hair.

Going to agree that that is some pretty hair you've got going on, but I can also get what you're saying about the weight of it. I had hair down to my waist at some point (it looked bad, I do not know why I didn't see it), and it would drive me nuts with both its length and weight at times, cutting off 20cm felt awesome. And yours is all curly and looks thicker than mine was, sooo.. Maybe trim it a bit, but not too much, like Nodaisho says.

Hm, I could've sworn Caleb posted about his hair here? Anyways, I was going to say to cut it shorter, so I'll just add that, even though I feel like I've maybe dreamt the whole post?

Your hair is absurdly pretty. I wouldn't go any shorter than just past the shoulders with it...anywhere in that range (just past shoulders to where you have now) would look nice, I think.

redglasscurls, your hair is extraordinarily gorgeous. I would suggest some layers. The woman who cuts my whole family's hair is an absolute genius, and she did this haircut on my mom (who has similar hair to yours but not as thick) that pretty much would cover your entire head with those perfect gorgeous curls at the bottom.

And a little shorter wouldn't look too different, but might be easier on your neck. (I know how heavy long, thick hair can be. That's why mine's short these days.)

Layers are a good idea, assuming they are what I think they are. That way, you would get the curls all the way down, rather than having the weight of the hair pulling them straight half the way. It would also cut down on the weight some, you could pair it with making it shorter if you wanted.

So I realized that I have basically had the same haircut since I was about 14.... it is long and layered with side swept bangs.
But I don't know what else I can do with it, because it is quite poofy and unmanageable.
This is what it looks like today:

It is icky and grown out but what should I dooooo with it?
