I thought I'd replied to this, obvs not. It is Damien Stevenson. He is awesome. He was also in Band of Brothers & looked good in a uniform, which is not something I normally find sexy.

Um I kind of want to cut my hair like Alex. I really adore that hair cut, but my roommate Alex(weird!) also has it! I would look super cute with this kind of hair I think, I would curl my fringe and me and all the Alex's ever would be haircut twins.

Probably because it was Damian Lewis who was in BoB and the photo (and Life), like someone suggested earlier. Not sure where the Stevenson part from Eliza's post comes from.

Barbershop, preferably one with an old guy running it and only recent mags. 0 back and sides, #4 or so on top - high speed, low drag and easy to maintain. And in a pinch you can use your fingers as a comb. The downside - doesn't work well with thin hair.

I'm thinking I'm probably still going to get complaints at work, but dying your hair the day you go away is a silly idea, at least I know I haven't messed up my hair & had it all fall out. Also I don't really like my job, it's more trouble than it's worth.

Andy, I think you could pull it off, but I would recommend shortening it in stages. You're hair is really long and it's going to be quite a jump if you're not used to having short hair. And if you hate it, you're going to be stuck with it for quite a while. I'm not saying you shouldn't, as I'm a big fan of short girl hair, but it'll be a shock if you're not used to it.

Pardon me for not having a clue what you're saying. I wouldn't really know where to find such a barbershop, for one...

Still, thin hair is not something I need to worry about. The plucks down the back of my neck have a life of their own, but for the rest it's manageable with some gel.

I think was that second picture of you the picture when I said you looked like hutch harris? I think in retrospect it is just because of the way the flash caught your face and exaggerated certain features.

So, going back to this again, from what I can tell a 0 is 1/100th of an inch, and a 4 is 1/2. I'm not sure how a 4 all over would be hitler youthy. I'm wondering if I am getting this wrong, though, since you wouldn't need to use your fingers for a comb with hair that short, no comb at all would be necessary. Am I wrong about the measurements of the guards?
