Holy shit yes!
The Wikipedia article on ReBoot has some speculation. Apparently they're working on a comic and plan to eventually release a trilogy of films, and it's thought that the countdown has something to do with one or the other.

New Reboot?  Sign me up.  Christ I miss that show SO much it was everything great about kid's TV.  The only time I can watch it is at like...4 in the morning on like...alternating weeks or something...it's wierd.  Imagine how much better the animation will be.....imagine how much better EVERYTHING will be.

Now you have me totally stocked.

INCOMING GAME!

That show is the reason why whenever somebody mentions a "firewall" I think of an actual wall of fire.

Oh man, I remember watching this show now after looking at the Wikipedia article because I recognize all of the characters, but at the same time I cannot recall the content of any of the episodes. The only thing that makes me so sure that I loved this show is that I remember every single character after looking at every single picture in the Wikipedia article. I have a lost childhood. Thank you for (Are you ready for it? I bet you are.) rebooting it. (YES!)

Yeah, I had to look it up, too, but then I recognized the characters and remembered the falling cubes. I'm kind of glad they're making a movie, because now I remember it and can try to find old episodes. :)

Oh man, I used to love Reboot! I mean, the hero's name was "Bob." That's so unoriginal that it's charming, really. Even if this turns out to be an abomination along the lines of Speed Racer, I'm still going to see it.

I have every single episode of this ever on my computer. YES. I absolutely loved Reboot as a kid and I still think that even now the writing was done really quite well. Though they may need to have the enemie's name updated (Kilobyte escaped and becomes Megabyte and then finally Gigabyte? Wonder where they could go from there, hurr)

Oh but man, when the show switched from the Game of the week mode with Megabyte and Hack and Slash thrown in for comic relief to an actual storyline it got so much better.

It would be totally awesome if they stayed old school...

Upgrade. Think about it. The difference is quality between the first episode of reboot and the last Reboot movie is pretty obvious. As the technology got better, so did the appearance of the show. A reboot movie that pushed current CGI technology to it's current limits would look incredible.

I went back and watched Reboot a couple years ago.  All I have to say is that right after Enzo gets trapped in a game, the story always gets awesome for me.
I can't wait to see what this is.

Oh man, even if the upgrade isn't quite to modern day standards for all CGI productions it'd still look pretty durned good compared to the original. I mean, between then and now just the resolution will make it purdy for my eyes. But I mean take this all with a grain of salt. I doubt whatever its going to be is going to be ultra high budget Hollywood. I mean the show is a bit of a cult phenomenon, just finding people who even remember this show is hard, at least around here.

I actually thought Megabyte was pretty cool, for a bad guy.  There were times when he showed that he was a true evil genius, and would even occassionally set aside the "evil" part in the face of a common enemy.  After all, if the entire system went down, it was bad for everyone.

Bob was the coolest. Followed closely by Hexadecimal, who was way, way cooler than Megabyte. One of my favourite Reboot moments is from the PSX game, the scene that plays if you loose to Hexadecimal. Close up of Hex's face as she says "If you can't love them...", she changes her mask to the evil looking one and screams "STUFF THEM!" as the camera moves to show Bob and Dot preserved via taxidermy.
Amazing.

Hexidecimal's thing was that she was totally nuts, totally unpredictable.  That made her a very dangerous enemy, but I guess "cooler" is in the eye of the beholder.

(Kilobyte escaped and becomes Megabyte and then finally Gigabyte? Wonder where they could go from there, hurr)

Actually, the small-time virus Kilobyte was being deleted when he broke free and upgraded himself to Gigabyte before escaping to Mainframe. When he got there, though, he was accidentally damaged and split into Megabyte and Hexadecimal. Megabyte's upgrade was simply to a trojan, shapeshifting form.

Well you know it got cancelled from CBS Saturday morning because it wasn't "appropriate for younger audiences" after the second season. And there are a ton of references to the censors and how they deleted a lot of stuff for no good reason.

YAY! 3 new reboot films.

Go to the website now....... Look at the animation (Which may not represent finished work).

Even putting this picture on the website, at all scares me...

Yeah but that's for the comic book, which is the main project that they're advertising.  What they only mention later is the fact that they're making 3 movies which will not have that style of art (I hope).

And it pains me to look at that picture too.

The movies would be a continuation of the style used in the previous series/movies. The advances in technology means they can make it look MUCH better than it previously had, but last time they had networks pumping money into them, I think this is an independent thing? Curiously, the artwork that is littered around on the website is all concept artwork which has just been compiled in photoshop or something for use as banners and such. I guess they were either short staffed or running out of time or something, because the site looks pretty hideous with the concept art all over it. The comic itself looks much much better.

Well, if it's the same old style I'll be happy.  I just hope they don't go nuts with it, or make it cartoony.
