NB: this is not mine. I had nothing to do with this. Just spreading the word.

Just saw this posted on the somethingawful forum, given the album a listen and it sounds amazing. I'll copy the guy's description:

--- Quote ---My buddies here in NYC are in this awesome band called The Deprecation Guild. They make really beautiful shoegaze/indie-pop with the harsh electronics of the Nintendo Famicom (Japanese edition of the NES) and guitars/vocals. Today, they have just released their latest album, In Her Gentle Jaws. Normally this would just be a kind of useless post with nowhere to go from, but they have decided (a la Radiohead) to put their entire album up for FREE on a supercool website (http://www.inhergentlejaws.com). It was mastered by Bill Racine who's credits include work with Mercury Rev & The Flaming Lips, so it sounds pretty awesome.

maybe my computer sucks but nothing came up when I checked that out, just a white page.

Website displayed just fine for me, downloading now.

At first blush, this is a really bad idea....shoegaze being, at least in my mind, layers upon layers of reverb....and they're doing it with a Famicom...? If these dudes are good, I will be SO IMPRESSED.

Listened to a track (3rd bar from the right), they're pretty nice. Downloading the album now!

Not exactly, Radiohead put up a low quality album which you could either pay for or download it for free. Then they released a higher quality album with extra tracks on it, essentially a big fuck you to people who downloaded it, especially those who paid for it.

The title is kind of misleading I'm afraid, they have a guitarist who makes fuzzy noises as well. It's just that one of the more prominent instruments is a Famicom.
