Actually, it's good to hold out hope for these kinds of things, because Alzheimer's can go on for a while.
I hope, that for the sake of all those diagnosed, that a cure can be created eventually. To know what causes something is one thing. To know how to stop it is another. To know exactly what needs to be done to stop it is amazing, but it's taunting as hell when you don't have the technology to create the cure that needs to be made.
