Interesting point.

I was actually talking to a friend about how absurd ski/snowboarding clothes are, because basically there is no way anyone is on the mountain in full gear unless they have a fair amount of disposable income. The style, however, is totally urban/hip hop influenced, baggy jackets and pants and other just general thuggery, which makes no sense! There is no logic behind that! Also snowboarders will try to fight you, which is funny.

Eli:
My boyfriend and his dad are going skiing before all of our breaks end and invited me to go with them. I've never skied before and they offered to get lessons for me, but I don't know. The boy is really good at skiing, so it's not likely to be a day for us to spend together, plus I've heard you have to have pretty good balance to ski.
Plus, I just moved here (here being Colorado) two months ago and I'm not used to the cold like they are. Also, the slopes are suppose to be really steep for beginners. Scary.
So, is it something that's still fun if you're horrible at it?

Toba:
Ally, whoa!

If I had not been going places to party with QC people, I would be in vermont in a condo from which you can *see sugarbush*.

Edit: and skiing at Mad River Glen.

I got all my ski clothes very cheap from a crap store which basically sells stuff that falls off the back of trucks. They are pretty much 'urban' though.
