I've heard this more than once. A D.J. on a radio show I once listened to claimed that of all the performers he's ever interviewed, Art Alexakis was the biggest asshole.
It makes me feel better about despising them.

(for the record, I don't recall what Everclear sounds like. I think I may like them, or rather liked them.)

The difference is that one of these can give you a headache if you have too much of it.
The other one is 190 proof grain alcohol.
I don't even like them, and my two most recent music purchases were U2 and the White Stripes.

Never been a big Everclear fan myself, actually, but my girlfriend at the time was a huge fan, which is really probably the most damning thing about the whole scenario. We were in highschool at the time, so he was basically a gigantic douchebag to a 16 year old girl. I mean, yeah, teenagers are obnoxious at times, but it's not like she was squealing and babbling incoherently or anything. I mean, maybe it's really hard being a celebrity, (after all, I wouldn't know), but I still think you can do better than ogling a fan for 15 seconds and then being really dismissive.
