I've always wondered what the attraction in asking people for their autograph is. I'm fairly certain it's not worth anything... is it just to prove that you met them?

I think it's more a sentimental thing, a tangible piece of evidence that you met someone who, on the basis of how many people have heard of them, is better than you. I kinda understand why celebrities get mad at being asked for autographs but it doesn't mean they are bad people, maybe they were just having a bad day, you know?
