I Bought Too Late!
SevenPinkerton:
I've been screwed by Nintendo like that twice now. I also have a DS, which I bought when it first came out. Now it is literally impossible to go to a store around here and find any products for a DS that are not DS Lite specific.
It's seriously as if they are punishing me for loyally buying their products immediately, rather than waiting for the inevitable upgrade version.
But alas, I love nintendo.
Dissy:
Gamestop (EB Games to some of you) still have a good selection of DS accessories. I was there last night and picked up a metal DS stylus 2-pack for 5 bucks and could have grabed a DS Starter kit (Carrying case, 3 styluses, game cases and screen protectors) for around $20-25.
Also, if you call Nintendo they have accessories for most of thier systems, if they don't they will look up the nearest stores for you. Nintendo seriously has one of the best customer services around.
yelley:
i use a spare double pointed knitting needle or a crochet hook for a stylus. the one it comes with, even the one for the original ds, was too short.
simplename9:
I seem to have had the exact opposite problem. When I bought my DS Lite I also bought an accessory pack with some basic things (screen covers, game cases, extra styluses etc.) and due to my incredible lack of reading skills I didn't realize it for for the original and therefore the screen protectors didn't fit and the car charger would plug into the slot. But I had already torn it open and stuck the protector on so it was too late to return.
sparksflyupward:
When I picked up my GBmicro I found out that it's fucking impossible to pick up a spare charger to use over here in Sweden (bought it in NA). So i ended up eBaying a 3rd party usb-charger cable, that I plug into my iPod charger. Pretty disappointing.
