Booze for Christmas

STROOPWAFELS
We do not have Trader Joe's :(. I am too poor for Whole Foods :(.
Caiphana:
TJ's is super cheap. And my area doesn't have Whole Foods. *shrugs at California*
You really can't beat two bucks for a dozen organic eggs. A dollar fifty for fresh sourdough. Pre-peeled garlic cloves, vacuumed sealed for freshness for a dollar (quite a few are included, as well). The produce is superb, cheap... and if you want to try something but are unsure about it, it's okay. You can bring back an empty package, claim you didn't like it, and get your money back.
Not to mention flowers. Their flowers are absolutely excellent. Always fresh. Always REALLY cheap, but high quality. At certain times of the year at my TJ's, you can get casa blanca lilies for about $12 for a bunch (4-5 stems). If you've ever worked at a florist, you know that's a lovely price. You can pay anywhere between $10 and $20 for one stem at a florist.
Oh, look at me. I've gone off and rambled about a store. *sighs* What can I say, I love cheap, good, fresh food. Oh, and their organic chicken!
SeanBateman:
TJ's isn't for produce, it's for cheap wine and beer, awesome microwaveables and dried goods, and those fucking bomb ass juices.
Caiphana:
Sure. I'm twenty, so I don't know the wine and beer. If I have someone of age over to my home and they ask what to bring, I ask for expensive, good alcohol that I know I already like (usually some sort of amaretto, because I use it in cooking and several different drinks).
*shrugs* I like the produce, and the TJ's I go to has a huge produce section. Their frozen stuff is killer.
Oh, and god do I love their cashews. Their juice is indeed spectacular. And people always rave about "my" apple cider. I hate to tell them that it's from a plastic jug. So I don't.
SeanBateman:
Yeah for sure.
What I am saying is TJ's is not like, amazing at really good fresh produce. It's all organic, but it's less varied and way less fancy than the stuff you can get at whole foods.
Their frozen foods, their microwave stuff, and their dry goods, are the reason to go there. The Tamari almonds I get there are literally my favorite snack food, ever.
