Narr:
I think I have heard of maybe like 3 bands listed in the entirety of this thread so far.

Haven't they been about to produce another album for the past 4 or so years(at least)? I think that Portishead coming up with a new album is something like Jeff Magnum actually releasing something else: something people get incredibly excited about every once in a while until they realize it's never actually going to happen, and if it ever did everybody would complain that it's not as good as their old stuff because they've built it up so much in their minds that they can't help but be disappointed.
Anyway, so far this year I'm quite impressed with Sia's new album and Kate Nash
MusicScribbles:
The thing with Portishead is that they are actually going to release an album. They set a tentative date for April of this year as the album's release date. Jeff Mangum, on the other hand, released a Live album, and has said absolutely nothing about a new proper album since he announced Aeroplane. I think there is a difference here.
Also, new My Bloody Valentine this year would be great. This would make me quite happy.

Dammit UK, let the US have some My Bloody Valentine! I understand you loving your own bands and wanting them to never leave you, but it is time to share please.

All I'm saying is, I'll believe it when there's a copy of the album in my hands.
