He probably will, although I bet it'll work out all wrong. Probably Xykon will raise him first and make him his evil minion, before the rest of OOTS will save him. I think It might still take a while though.

As for Belkar an Haley making it back, Belkar will probably save the day again (unintentionally, while trying to kill his way back to a new level). Heh, he could smack some of those wights around with his lead anti-alignment-detection sheet... :-P
