Liz:

And I think buttons are fun, so go for it Eed.

Edith:
In addition to my lame badgemaking, I have been checking into bicycle rentals for the weekend. It seems like rentals run around $30/day. Would anyone be interested in going for a fucking insane pretty hard riding tour of parts of Tronno? Mike would be showing us around, and it would really be more like racing to keep up with him so you don't get lost, punctuated by pauses in scenic locations like the waterfront or next to a stinky fish jump to catch your breath, and then racing madly up and down crazy scary hills than it would be like a leisurely ride.

P.S. Tommy assures me that this is a lame idea, too.

Lines:
Can I just bring a bike? But I am rather out of shape and $30 is a lot for renting a bike, so maybe not.

And buttons aren't lame. Buttons are super awesome and Joe is just way way jealous.

jhocking:
I am green with envy.

Edith:
I'm not sure that we'll be able to fit bikes in the car. It would cost an extra couple hundred dollars to rent the SUV, and that would be silly to do so we can bring bikes which we could just rent there.

How tall are you? Mike has 3two in working condition, so if you're the only one interested, maybe we'd be okay. He also mentions that it's pretty easy to find bikes to steal in Toronto, so that might be a good option to save money.

(Also, I know name badges are lame, but every con with registered participants should have them.)

Woo - 300th post! You should have an internet party for me! Would that be lame?

New information: Now it appears that I misread the email from the guy. Bikes are $30 if we reserve them ahead of time, or $15 + $3/hour up to 24 hours, which works out to $30. I'm still waiting to hear back from four more bike rental places about their rates, but this one is right on the waterfront.
