My grandmother used to fly internationally with a suitcase full of pots, pans, and knives. My grandfather's mother had sub-par cookware, and my grandmother cooked when they visited them, so she brought her own whenever they visited.
Just imagine a very kind old lady who can always get a deal on something when shopping and knows everyone in the neighborhood trying to explain a half dozen knives in her luggage.
