I think Tyler needs someone to hold his hand when he crosses the street. Don't forget the buddy system!

So far all we have planned is drinking, mock zombie battle, drinking, zoo, fancy drinking, and karaoke whilst getting some people drunk enough to sing. I think this plus sleep and probably shopping will fill up three days nicely. Oh, and loud music/noise making.

So I will be getting a $1600 refund check from my college for overpaying this semester. I should probably use it to pay off some student loan interest, but I think I might put it toward a passport and train ticket and gas money and hostel stay and food. Sound good?

Went here during my last visit in Tdot.  Easily the city's best brew pub that I've been to (not saying much) but not cheap.  Wear your black turtle neck and order the Gulden Drak if you go.

Also I have never travelled by myself before, let alone on a plane or out of the country or having to use multiple forms of transport! Argh! I would probably get lost at Sydney airport and nobody would ever see me again.
Wear childish clothing and tell the airport people that you are an unescorted minor.

Use SPF 60, like I do. When I don't use it, I get burnt. When I do, I get slightly less pale. Good stuff.

I'm gonna throw in my vote for wiffleball or pool, but I'm also saying that if these islands are any good there will be outdoor sports activities to be had somewhere right? Not that I'm any good at them but I'll play anyway. Anyway I'm packing a frisbee since there are numerous parks in places. Man, its good to think about warm weather when outside could easily work as a flash freezer.

Ultimate Frisbee! So fun!

Good, baseball is not a fun thing to watch.

Yes it is. But you have to actually be at a game, like baseball enough to care, and like at least one of the teams. But I like baseball and I like watching games, so...yeah.

Not regularly, but I know the rules and was thinking about joining the team on campus, don't know how that will go with my schedule. I was thinking just along the lines of tossingit back and forth with actually little competition, or on the off chance that they have frisbee golf  somewhere within range I could pack a few of those too. But yeah, I'll definitely play Ultimate if there's enough people interested at the time.

Quote from: Ultimate Players Association
Ultimate in Ten Simple Rules
Steve Courlang and Neal Dambra
Copyright (c) Ultimate Players Association, 1993

   1. The Field -- A rectangular shape with endzones at each end. A regulation field is 70 yards by 40 yards, with endzones 25 yards deep.
   2. Initiate Play -- Each point begins with both teams lining up on the front of their respective endzone line. The defense throws ("pulls") the disc to the offense. A regulation game has seven players per team.
   3. Scoring -- Each time the offense completes a pass in the defense's endzone, the offense scores a point. Play is initiated after each score.
   4. Movement of the Disc -- The disc may be advanced in any direction by completing a pass to a teammate. Players may not run with the disc. The person with the disc ("thrower") has ten seconds to throw the disc. The defender guarding the thrower ("marker") counts out the stall count.
   5. Change of possession -- When a pass in not completed (e.g. out of bounds, drop, block, interception), the defense immediately takes possession of the disc and becomes the offense.
   6. Substitutions -- Players not in the game may replace players in the game after a score and during an injury timeout.
   7. Non-contact -- No physical contact is allowed between players. Picks and screens are also prohibited. A foul occurs when contact is made.
   8. Fouls -- When a player initiates contact on another player a foul occurs. When a foul disrupts possession, the play resumes as if the possession was retained. If the player committing the foul disagrees with the foul call, the play is redone.
   9. Self-Refereeing -- Players are responsible for their own foul and line calls. Players resolve their own disputes.
  10. Spirit of the Game -- Ultimate stresses sportsmanship and fair play. Competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of respect between players, adherence to the rules, and the basic joy of play.

Now we know the rules, we can play! Yay!

(Note: While I may not be gung-ho competitive, I like competition. This can be a good or bad thing.)

(And here is another game. Thank you random quiki page.)

this may or may not have to do with the fact that i am making it my mission to be wearing heels at least 70% of the time that i am in canada.

In Ultimate Frisbee, there isn't supposed to be any physical contact, unless you specify it's Tackle Ultimate. Unless I'm confusing it with that game, whatever it's called, where everyone tries to tackle whoever is holding the ball/frisbee. But that's fun too.

i haven't played ultimate frisbee in basically forever, to the point where i'm not sure if i'd even know how to throw one anymore. i'm really good at tackling people though, like, sometimes i do it even if i'm not actually playing a sport.
can i still participate?
