Patrick:
Haggis* is amazing and, surprising to my Georgia-raised ass, tastes oddly like Jimmy Dean sausage.

--- Quote from: Boro_Bandito on 12 Feb 2008, 21:49 ---Okay, this is off-topic in that I am most certainly not going to the UK, but do any of you know whether Fried Hagus is any good? I saw it on No Reservations and if I do end up going someday I want to know what sort of thing to be on the lookout for.

If you're going to be eating haggis then eat it in the traditional manner. Why anyone would want it fried...... :|

calenlass:
Guys Haggis is so good. Also Patrick maybe, because I think it tastes more like the ground beef you get in Red Beans and Chilli [pepper] recipes. (Most of the places I have ever had it except at family things it was made without the stuffing-it-into-intestines bit.)

clockworkjames:
You can buy it like white/black pudding from a chip shop, battered and deep fried.

I had one Friday at 4AM wasted between a club and a friends house. Tasted AMAZING.

Not eaten in 29 hours now so I am really hungry thinking about that... fuck noodles I might go get some fast food.

pickle:
Haggis is good.

But fried haggis will generally be from a chip shop and will therefore probably not be a good example of haggis. But it fills a hole.

Also, if you've only bought and tried 'haggis' in the US then you haven't tried haggis. Haggis isn't allowed in the US because it uses too many squidgy parts of animals.
