Oh, sure, "Knights of Cydonia" is a good video because it's funny and whatnot, but do you really think that his resume lends itself to direction of something that should be as serious and polished as Neuromancer?

Dude, Neuromancer is a novel about a super-hacker and a cyborg chick with sunglasses for eyes.
A music video sensibility might actually be appropriate.
Though between Ghost in the Shell, The Matrix and Armitage III there pretty much already IS a complete Neuromancer film...

Yeah, when I think Neuromancer I don't associate it with "gently paced" or "understated" very much.
