God no. It gets all world-y, and shiny, and all those things that PIL never should be.

I'd say that depends. Ng, how many renaissance fairs have you attended?

True, tis awesome. But I seem to remember Mr. Lydon putting his name on pre-vandalized "punk" furniture not too long ago. You have to love the man, cynical bastard that he is.
Jackie Blue:
The first whole PiL album I heard was That What Is Not when I was like 14. Given that, it's kind of amazing that I ever gave them another chance, and realised that Metal Box was one of the best (arguably industrial) albums of the 70s.
Too bad most of everything else they ever did was "pretty okay" at best.

You obviously didn't see him on "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here".
Ng, I'd recommend Marah and the National. And since you both like the Postal Service, check out William Fitzsimmons.
Jackie Blue:
I think her boyfriend will call The National "boring" and "depressing". Calling it now.
Kai:
You both sound like people who would enjoy Glenn Branca.
