McTaggart:
People like muscles because they like fun. DO YOU HATE FUN??

Lunchbox:
Wait, wait.
I think the most important thing here is imagining Jimmy rock out to Tegan and Sara.

I like fun, but dislike boring derivative music like Muscles.
He's really terrible live too.

Eris:
The Living End didn't release anything this year, though, did they?

I was happy that Vitriol got fairly high; but I didn't vote or really listen to the countdown, so I'm not really able to complain about the order, anyway.

McTaggart:
Honestly, I don't think Muscles is terribly derivative. When I hear any track on the album I don't immediately think of twenty other tracks that sound the same. Alot of the rest of the list, like a lot of the rock and a lot of the dance (have the Chemical Brothers made any new tracks in the last 5 years?) strike me as much more derivative in that they sound like a lot of the rest of the stuff on the list. Muscles just sounds like Muscles. He's got this energy that sets him apart from a lot of the rest of the dance music there is. Things like Pendulum and the Chemical Brothers' new tracks sound pretty boring and flat all the way through and seem to try and avoid having parts that stand out from the rest of the tracks. They feel like you're not meant to hear the music and they're not meant to have any effect on how you feel. Muscles is out to make people dance, rather than just be there so that people have something to dance to.
