The Polizei are helpful indeed. I have never once been lost in an airport in Germany because the Passkontrol officers are just like "Oh, yeah, your gate's that way."

For some reason this reminds me of when I was in Germany and some punkass teenagers were running around yelling "Fuck der Polizei!" They had been caught trespassing, I think.
