I wouldn't call Rancid ska at all. Maybe some roots in ska punk, especially because Tim and Matt were in Op Ivy, but what of Rancid's stuff would you call ska?

I think The Impossibles got better after they dropped the ska out of their sound.

are the Suicide Machines ska? i have on of their cds that i still enjoy.
