My way of saying "I hope I never hear about a band/person/inanimate object again" is basically by calling for their death in an automobile accident. It's not meant to be taken seriously, but people tend to take it the wrong way - I had another similiar, but much longer/angrier argument with someone about this on my school facebook group where I wished everyone there the same fate. Sarcasm and tongue-in-cheek-ness does not typically go well over the internet, unfortunately.
Also: If you don't troll fan bases and post inflammatory comments then you're missing out, it's a great deal of fun. Sure, this may annoy people, but then a thread about a band I like will come up and everyone will get along again- and if someone wants to troll that thread, then that's fine by me. Or at least, I like to think that I'd still get lulz from it anyway.
