I like mayo in small amounts, but copious amounts of it are disgusting. Most places really glob it on whatever you order, so I usually have to tell them to go easy on the stuff. Subway's the worst. Even when I tell them to put less on my sub they add a shitload, so I generally just leave it off.

While plain mayonnaise is certainly disgusting, there are certain limited uses of it which are definitely worthwhile. Also, a well made aioli (which IS a word, Firefox, whether you put a red line under it or not) is a fantastic thing.

Mayonnaise straight-up is nasty, and in most situations is nasty. Turned into ranch dressing it's delicious.
Ranch dressing is the proverbial gold nugget in mayonnaise's giant pile of shit.
