Anybody know anything about Caterpillars?

redglasscurls:
Am I still a hippie if I spent my childhood gleefully stomping on them because of it?

David_Dovey:

--- Quote from: McTaggart on 12 Feb 2008, 23:26 ---They're ladybirds in all the colonies!

--- End quote ---

I've never heard them called ladybirds by anyone!?

Spluff:
I'm not too fond of Caterpillars due to the massive clumps of Spitfires that live around my area. Those bastards hurt.

[EDIT - Turns out they're actually wasp larvae. ]

McTaggart:
Maybe it's just because my early childhood was in South Africa then.

Also, Spluff's post has  reminded me how great Australian trees are.

The extra letter:
Well, *technically* most spitfires are the larvae of wood wasps or sawflies, so they're related to wasps but aren't quite them and  they're sans sting.
