Spring Break! Hooray! (No Boobs)

BrittanyMarie:
That's not quite the same though. I've seen Ted Leo in a venue that can hold 300 people, I've drank with Against Me! after they came here before Searching for a Former Clarity, almost saw Wolf Parade RIGHT when Apologies came out (was too young), saw Calvin Johnson and Mt. Eerie with about a dozen other people, and my ex headbutted Wesley Willis and then they took him out to Denny's*. That doesn't really mean anything about the music scene other than that our location is fantastic, so bands going from the twin cities to Seattle play here on the way.

Though actually, going straight up with shows and bands coming out of the area, I think Victoria and Vancouver BC, Portland OR and Olympia WA, Athens GA, and probably Montreal are the hot spots now.

*I didn't mean that to be "My rock cock is bigger than yours!" but it came out that way. Sorry!

I'd have guessed the Canadians would have a pretty strong presence. I'd have never guessed Athens though (I associate Athens with R.E.M. and the B-52s and I can't stand those guys).

I mean, during the summer the lake is fun, but this ain't the summer. The museums are great, but who wants to go to a museum on their spring break?

We stay inside, drink, fuck, and play video games.

The early work by these two groups was phenomenal.

And then we have such lovely gems as "Love Shack". I'll be out back with my pipe and my tobacco if you need me.
