what if that was Sven coming out of the bathroom, what would Hanners say to difuse the situation? With either Marten or Dora being the one that comes out of Marten's room. Maybe it would have to be Steve asleep on the couch to keep some form of balance?

if you change people up that much then you could always just have Jimbo on the couch, randomly and out of nowhere. the follow up comic for that would be totally excellent.
Or winslow on the couch with Mieville and Pintsize.
Or pizza girl on the couch with Penelope and sarah.
Or someone on the couch with the two tequila monsters.
Or Angus McPhee on the couch with vespa girl and Faye.
the possibilities are endless!
