I've seen this game in action and I have less of an idea of how its actually played every time.

Dimmukane:
You try to collect as many of the colored blocks in groups of three as possible.  White and black blocks are extra points once they reach the bottom of the stack, avoid all grey blocks.  There are a couple powerups that help you group colors.  That's basically it.

onewheelwizzard:
There is no Mac version of this game.  I am so disappointed.

Dimmukane:
He said the next thing he's gonna work on is a console port.  So you might not be entirely out of luck.

I tried to use the mouse, it made no difference at all.
