Fleet Foxes.

HOLY SHIT FUCK THESE GUYS ARE BRILLIANT AND AMAZING AND I WISH I WAS THEM.

Seriously, this music can only be described as beautiful, I bought the album after hearing White Winter Hymnal on the radio, and just wow.
I must have more music like this.

They have lovely harmonies and things. They did a session for the Radcliffe and Maconie show on BBC Radio 2 recently, I don't know if you can download it on the intertubes anywhere, but it's worth hearing. Actually, it's probably still on Listen Again for at least the next couple of days.

Also, they have incredible beards.

I really have to give them a more thorough listen. I mean, I enjoyed the EP, and I listened to the LP, but when I had them playing they were akin to background music. Now that it is truely summertime I can give them a less cursory glance and a more respectful spin.
Here I come iTunes.

Fleet Foxes are fucking fantastic!
Except whenever I listen to the LP I just get stuck on three tracks and listen to those on repeat for like an hour: "He Doesn't Know Why", "Heard Them Stirring", and "Your Protector". All good for loud singing.

I had absolutely no idea who these guys were until I accidentally saw them at a festival, but I'm so glad I did.  I'm completely hooked now.

meh.  Good harmony & all, but brilliant and amazing? I think Ragged Wood from 2:50 on is the shining moment of this whole album.  The vocals sounds like CSN&Y to me.  I couldn't imagine being pumped up to see these guys live, I imagine a whole bunch of swaying people with fluttering eyelids paired with excessive hand-holding.  Maybe if you bring someone you are madly in love with yet haven't had the balls to make a move on....

These guys are pretty excellent!  I was totally grabbed by the first track and it held me all the way through.

They are good but My Morning Jacket are still better.

I just heard them today.  Reminded me of the Beach Boys and Crosby Stills Nash and Young at the same time.

That's a good thing.

I only just noticed that their album debuted at #11 in the UK album charts. Good show, UK.

No way! I had no idea they were playing in Austin. Too late now, though, there's no way I could get off work since it's my last day before a week of vacation in California.

I got to review the album for the mag I work for, so I've known how great it was for months now, but yeah, my favorite album of the year (though it's very close).

This record is pretty good, but I wouldn't say it is the best record of the year by probably a wide margin.
