So there are a lot of new people on the forum as of late.

I created a little thread over in the Comic Discussion forum essentially suggesting that, when they feel like it's time to start exploring the other areas of the site, that they spend some time getting to know the community.

I am essentially going to trust that this is the case, and further I am going to trust the regulars on this side of the forum not to bite the new folks.

I'm gonna wager that 99% of the people in the comic discussion threads will never venture outside them.

People know there is a world outside their basements, and that world contains lovely things like ladies/gentlemen, scrumptious foodstuffs, marvelous beverages, serene sunsets, and super-cool eclipses of the moon. Still, people remain inside and live off of pre-packaged food, and why?
Because it is safe. Because it is sufficient. Because there is no need to go any further than necessary.
Furthermore, the world is full of murderers, thieves, cheats, and liars. And some stuff can give you food poisoning and hangovers.

There are some hot chicks in the photo thread. Odds are that Jon'll hit you over the head and take your wallet while you're there, though.
