What part of that outfit is blue?
It looks like two halves of different people. Like when you stick a lego pirates body on a lego spacemans legs or something.
Lines:
The jacket is navy blue, which she said above and I agree with. And I don't see how you guys think the two oranges clash. One is more yellow and lighter in value (it's mustard yellow) and the other a darker, more saturated orange (that's carrot orange). Yes, they happen to be the brightest aspects of his outfits, but they don't clash. The only thing I don't like about the outfit is that the shirt is lavender. If it were more blue, I think it would be a lot better.
Would less of you have a problem with the outfit if he was wearing pants that matched his blazer? Really though. He'd have a fancy belt, sure, but without the orange pants, his outfit would become much more "traditional" and really would lose quite a bit of the style in that outfit.
Patrick:
Oh, I'm not saying ditch the pants. The blue and lilac and orange work well together. I just hate the belt because I feel it is a glaring representation of everything I have ever hated about some people's attempts to look cool.
Seriously he couldn't have just gone for a solid turquoise belt?

I happen to like his belt! I would wear it.

Guys I can't even get it up unless the girl knows how to make clashing patterns and colors work, so we might not be able to reach an agreement, here.
