A staggered-bucker? I don't care. I just don't want to have two coils picking up any one string on a bass. There's something horribly wrong about the sound it produces when there's two coils that close to each other, both of them picking up on the string. I HATE that sound.

Okay I take back everything I have said in this thread.

I was just playing some mathy/hardcore shit on my old squier p-bass and it was ridiculously good. I just need to get some new pickups for that thing and it will be godly in combination with my j-bass.
