If it sucks and is taking up space? Heck, even if it doesn't suck and is simply their millionth copy of a title that is no longer a new release. Notice how stores will have a huge display of the latest release, and then a month later there's just one copy of that game on the normal shelves?

Also, some stores MAKE you throw away product if you work there. I worked at Michaels and anytime something was out of season or slightly damaged, we HAD to throw it away. Usually the manager would do it or watch a non-manager do it, but if we were lucky and didn't have a neurotic manager, we'd just hide it and take it home instead of throwing it away. We had to pitch a magnet toy thing, but luckily one manager let us play with it before a few days before the head guy found it and tossed it.
