Electronic Flyer Help!!

OK - so my band has a show coming up on April 4th and the venue is insisting upon an electronic flyer.  The problem - none of us have any idea how to do such a thing.  They want it sooooon; so, does anyone have any advice, or is anyone here artistically inclined and in the habit of making such a flyer?  Any help is much appreciated!

Its a free program that works with images. You can find images on google (relevant or not) and just put some text over it if you want. 

Two examples that were done for two shows that Tinselfish were a part of.




I'm sure you could whip out something pretty easily.




EDIT:
Actually, something even easier you could use would be the lolcat builder.
Its really simple, you probably just want to make the font smaller and have no effects.

EDIT: Actually nevermind, I wouldn't be able to do it.

It wouldn't be that difficult to just make something aesthetically pleasing in GIMP.

That would be amazing!  Thank you so much.  I've been working with that Gimp program, but it's slow going.

Here's the details-

The bands playing are The Black and Blue Revue, Psycho Square Dance, and Thankful Birds.  We're playing April 4 at Club Mardi Gras located at 8040 East McDowell Road in Scottsdale, Arizona 85250.  Cover is $5.

No no no, that's an e-vite.

I do recommend Gimp though. Good, free program, though it is a bit unwieldy. It's still a step up from MS Paint.

For this type of thing I typically use InDesign (part of the adobe CS suite).  I only have access to it through the school's computers so it's kinda annoying to do anything I actually care about with it.

You're better off with QuarkXPress, because InDesign is just Adobe's attempt at ripping them off.
