Wedding Music Suggestions

I am getting married next month and want some interesting suggestions for my Mother/Groom dance song.  What does the big throbbing brain on here suggest?

I did Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable" for my dance with my mother.  I'm surprised to say that it felt a bit long, even though it's only like 3:30.  My mom and I were both like, "Isn't this song over yet?" at the time.  I don't have any particular song suggestions (there are plenty of lists on the web about it), but I'd advise to keep the length of the song in mind.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe about 3 minutes max.  If we end up with a longer song, some editing may need to be done.

Oh crap, I was going to suggest "Our Song by Taylor Swift" because shes such a hottie, but then i read your post. I can't think of any for the Groom and his Mother song. For Bride and Father of the Bride we had "Daddy's Hands by Holly Dunn" but I'd also suggest "Ready Set Don't Go by Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus". If you want some shock value may i  suggest "The Ding Dong Song by Gunther and the Sunshine Girls"

Nine Inch Nails, Reptile!

So um, anyway.  How about Nostrand, by Ratatat?  It's 3:03 long and a 1-2, 3-4 beat you can kind of Waltz about to.  It is kind of subdued and apprehensive up until 2 mins in when a louder, happier bit starts up.

In all seriousness, you can't go wrong with love songs by Sam Cooke.  I just got a pretty fair amount of his work and it's absolutely amazing.  I can't actually remember if I got it from them Med!afire thread or not ... if not, I'll put them up there.

Edit: "(What a) Wonderful World" is totally fucking essential.

How’s this:

They announce that song between mother-in-law and groom will now be played.

The song is that Meatloaf one: “I will do anything for love…but I won’t do that”.

The groom runs away.

The end.
