They tried reviving it, but people didn't like the look of it and felt it was too derivative of Metroid Prime and Halo.
Still, I'm mostly with you.

I remember it was a fun arcade/platformer.  I'm not surprised people didn't like the idea of it trying to suckle on the FSP-Teet.

Too bad the pc market isn't what it used to be, because it'd be awesome to dust off a joystick and blow up imperials/rebels the ol' fashioned way again rather than just fumbling through another railshooter. Not that there's anything wrong with railshooters, mind you-- I enjoyed Star Fox as much as the next guy-- but I'd kill for another X-Wing game, since it split the difference between arcade style and simulationist offerings so well.

When I read this post I went off to look for someone to quote about the rumblings I thought I'd heard about the wii getting a new rogue squadron game. Turns out that Factor Five have pretty much said they're not doing anything for the wii, so no, there won't be a rogue squadron game for wii.

That sucks.

sure 99 wasnt that long ago (fucking 10 years nevermind long enough) but this was an awesome pc rpg and i actually just downloaded an iso again to play through it, lots of fun to be had here, and maybe aside from dialogue is quite original.

I actually liked the original Syndicate. It had massive corporations fighting it out worldwide.
Syndicate Wars was a global syndicate that couldn't work with itself vs a church group that didn't start with the resources to commit.

Rogue, ADOM & more recently Incursion are games I'd like to put up. But maybe they're not really that cool.

You drove awesome American muscle cars and customised them to crush assorted road-dwelling baddies. It was stylised to look like a 70s road movie. You played Groove Champion, out to avenge your sister's murder with her old companion Taurus. It was fucking amazing! There were two sequels that weren't nearly as good. I wish someone would make an updated version of this incredible game!

Yes! I remember playing this game with my cousin. It was sooo much fun. I would love to see a remake.
