The blood had clotted around him and he was stuck and had no chance to get out, he shouldn't have been in that blood in the first place.

I actually thought the same, but that's only because whenever the word "shake" is used more than once in succession my girlfriend makes a reference to Mischief Makers. The one time I played that game I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and gave up after 5 minutes.
