Old Franchises I'd like to see revived

FUCK NO.  WHILE I THINK NIGHTFIRE HAD DECENT MULTIPLAYER AND EVERYTHING OR NOTHING WAS A LOT OF FUN, WE USUALLY PULLED OUT GOLDENEYE, EIGHT FUCKING YEARS AFTER THE FACT.  CUZ THAT SHIT IS CRAAAAZY.

Come on, Squeenix. You have the team, you have the rights, stop pumping out that Kingdom Hearts shit and give us a new Ogre Battle.

Ogre Battle's good. Then again, Kingdom Hearts is also good, and I think they might earn a wee bit more money on that one :P

2D Worms on non-portables. Seriously, the 3D was such a huge f-up.

And stuff that has been said before; Chrono series, Dungeon Keeper and Commander Keen.

Oh my God, high five, seriously. I was thinking the exact same thing.  I think it would play well on the Wii too.

I want to see the game Giants remade or maybe have a sequel to it.   It was hilarious and jetpacking around blowing stuff up was awesome, the fact you could play as one of three races was awesome too.  The multiplayer was also pretty good too, a little unbalanced but that could be fixed.

Freedom Fighters too, its an amazing game and Im pretty sure that they could do some amazing things with the game with a sequel, especially internet wise.

Also, not really an old franchise but I really want a Psychonauts sequel.

I wish BioWare would release the Infinity Engine as an open-source project - possibly even with a "create your own adventure" interface.

Seriously, I would play 100 more games like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale if they existed and were even half as good (the former for depth and story, the latter for sheer hack-n-slash goodness).  And I think a lot of other people would too.  New monster/NPC graphics would be pretty cheap to do and there are already hundreds in place from the series', and as evidenced by other homebrew genres there are people out there more than willing to spend the time to code encounters and story (I mean, Jesus, how long did that StarCraft mod Fallen Angel take to make?)

KvP:
The problem with that would be the pre-rendered locations and areas. Unless you recycled old areas, which a lot of people do. BG2 in particular has a vibrant modding community.
